The apartment of the famous scientist, Turkologist, historian, geographer and ethnologist Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov is located in house No. 1/15 in the Kolomenskaya street, on the second floor of a large four-story building.
It was here that the son of brilliant Silver Age poets Anna Akhmatova and Nikolai Gumilyov lived the last two years of his life, from 1990 to 1992.
In 2004, the apartment became a branch of the Anna Akhmatova museum at the Fountain House. No alterations have been made here: through the efforts of the widow, Natalya Viktorovna Gumileva-Simonovskaya, the authentic atmosphere of the apartment has been preserved.
The museum shows the lifetime editions of Lev Gumilyov in Russian and foreign languages, his personal library and archive (manuscripts, academic correspondence, photographs, audio and video recordings).
